Lance and Rodney had a motorcycle trip to raise funds for their missionary trip to Japan. This web page chronicles their trip together last August 28th, 2004.

We planned the trip so that we would go from Longmont to Estes Park. This route would take us to Trailridge road, which is considered the highest paved road in the America at just over 12,000 feet high.

From there we would continue into the mountains, around the Granby Lake to Granby. From there, Idaho Springs came next and we took a back road through the mountains to Central City- on our way to Estes Park and back home.
This trip was supposed to take us 250 miles and 6 hours. In reality, it took us 11 hours. Enjoy the pictures!

I was parked on our way to Estes Park when we pulled over to chat.

Believe it or not, Rodney was crazy enough to take a picture while he was driving his motorcycle of me.

Side view of me in action. It was a gorgeous day considering the low temp's of 60-65.

Nested in all those green pine trees was just breathtaking.

Different angle with the sun rising.

We made it to Estes Park and gassed up both our fuel tanks and stomach tanks. Time to tackle the Trailridge route!

Rodney took a self photo as we went up the winding road up the mountain.

We were getting closer to the top, but pulled over to admire the view. Someone was kind enough to take a picture of us.

We came to a place where there was a gorgeous view of Longs Peak. The picture doesn't do it justice. Rodney below will agree.

Rodney agrees that pictures doesn't do the view justice.
